According to Rumour

By Robert Scott

Carter can’t exactly remember what happened last night…  Asleep on his sofa after a quiet night of celebrating his recent divorce, alone, or so he thought, Carter is rudely awakened by a phone call from his younger sister to let him know that mother is on the way to visit him and should arrive shortly.  To compound the confusion, a scantily clad woman suddenly emerges from his bedroom, there’s a loud knock at the front door, something begins to stir behind his sofa, and there is the puzzling matter of a mysterious bag full of money in his fridge…  What’s going on? Well, According to Rumour….

The Laughing Stock Theatre Society has postponed our production of According to Rumour, orignally planned for September 13-16, 2023 until next spring, due to the intense and destructive wildfire activity that has been raging across the Southern BC Interior. TLS expresses it’s truly heartfelt condolences to those who have been directly affected by these wildfires, and wants to give our community, and our greater community, time to process and recover.

We also want to thank our fire fighters who have been battling these wildfires all over our region.  Thank you for keeping us safe, you are indeed, heroes.
